I normally wouldn't post/reblog these things here because I don't like having drama on this blog, but this is very important, so I'll make an exception this time
Thank you for tagging me and letting me know what's going on! I'm not sure who to tag that could spread this, but. I'll definitely be turning off media asks on most of my blogs here, just for my own well-being
If anyone who sees this is sensitive to anything involving gore, or anything that has to do with kids being killed/harmed, I'd highly recommend turning off your media asks as well. It's the holidays, and the last thing anyone wants to get seriously triggered when they're supposed to be relaxing and having a good time
Hello dear!
Sorry for bothering you, but it's important to remind you to turn off your asks for a few days! Bad things are going to happen on Tumblr soon...

► reblog to let your mutuals know that... YOUR RP BLOG IS NOT TIME-SENSITIVE!
...That there is NO time limit or expiration date on asks, memes or threads.
...That your partners NEVER need to feel they have to apologise for not responding to a thread or ask yet.
...That you welcome replies to "OLD" threads and memes, even if they've been sitting quietly untouched for weeks or months.
...That there is NEVER any pressure or obligation for your partners to reply until they feel the drive and enthusiasm to do so.
...That YOU will happily respond to things at YOUR OWN leisure, and you would like your partners to feel comfortable doing the same.
Not everybody enjoys running their blog this way and that's a-okay. But removing the idea that RP interactions are something that can "expire" or that the asks in your inbox have an unspoken "due-date", takes the pressure off of both your partners and yourself and can help bust feelings of stress/anxiety from the hobby. Reblog to let your partners know that you're just jazzed to receive new writing from them, whenever it comes.

Reblog this post if you want people to ping and/or tag you in the dash commentary they make about your muse!
Dash commentary is a GREAT way to get muses talking, but from what I've experienced, both by observing and how I personally feel, a lot of people are hesitant to comment on dash commentary when a URL isn't provided for fear that the commentary isn't about them—even if it might seem obvious. So let's try to alleviate that anxiety and let people know we WANT to be informed when our muse is being talked about!

For my fellow spoonies in the new year:
I hope your pain levels are low. I hope your flares are mild. I hope you're taken seriously by medical professionals. I hope you get the diagnosis you need. I hope you receive all the benefits and accommodations you deserve. I hope your treatment plans help. I hope those in your life are understanding of your limitations. I hope you know you're valuable beyond productivity and you have worth and a right to exist, a right to take up space, and a right to be heard and respected. ❤️

Y’know
It's a little funny to me that a lot of us tend to view KC as like. This old man. This peepaw figure
When he's literally the same age as Sun and Moon
Don't get me wrong, I adore the mental image of peepaw KC and his multiple misbehaving children/grandchildren
But guys
Think about it for a second
Ruin is technically older than KC. He's legit been around for like 50 years, and KC was only around for what. 2 years, maybe?
Ruin is the one true peepaw here, and we're not talking/making enough jokes about that 😔 smh (/lh)

Cool RPC Fact!
It's not elitist to set boundaries and be selective with who you interact with.
There's zero reason to go on anonymous pestering someone on why they don't follow people back, or, arguably worse, vagueblogging about it. Guess what; roleplaying is a collaborative hobby. You need to cope with the fact that not everyone will be interested in writing with you.
Why? Who cares. I assure you that there will be someone out there who will be willing to write with you, but I can also assure you that obfuscating the term 'elitism' with 'someone who might just wanna roleplay with friends' and having an attitude towards people who don't engage with you isn't gonna make people crowd towards you. Maybe people can only handle having so many rp partners at a time. You don't know, and you don't need to know.
Cultivate your own communities. Learn to accept silent rejection. Read people's rules pages when it comes to their rules on interactions, exclusives, whatever. It's their blog. Not yours. You can set all of the rules you want on your blog, and people can do the same on theirs. It's 2024. The world doesn't revolve around you, every blog has someone behind it who has their own boundaries for their own reasons.

Poll Series Time!
So recently I've been really into Statistics and making charts and whatnot, which got me thinking: "How Can I Incorporate This Into The Magnus Archives?" Now this is where y'all come in: Over the next little while, I'll be posting polls about favorite episodes and such, and then I will take these answers and make silly little graphs and share them with you guys! Now, for the first question:
This question I am looking for favorite individual Statements, not episodes as a whole. This has nothing to do with Plot, just Vibes.
This is why I will not be including MAG 132 - ENTOMBED or MAG 142 - SCRUTINY in this poll, as they are both pretty much all Plot
Feel free to reblog/comment/ect. any thoughts you may have on why you chose your answer! I really like seeing yalls reasonings, and maybe you might point stuff out that I haven't noticed before!
Below I have linked the Transcripts for each one:
Do Not Open
Lost Johns' Cave
Foundations
Hard Shoulder
Held In Customs
Underground
Dig
We All Ignore the Pit
Dust to Dust
Submerged
A Gravedigger's Envy
The Worms
Have fun, and stay tuned for the next poll!

there is something very special about radios in media. they are machines that pluck voices out of still air. They amplify echoes of the dead and the dying. They are a means of communication as well as community. They shorten the distance between lovers as well as enemies. they allow us to broadcast our thoughts into a vast silence. is someone listening? They give us no way of knowing either way.

with tumblr often glitching and unfollowing people on accident, reblog this if it is okay for (former) mutuals to message you if they notice you suddenly unfollowed them out of nowhere, asking if it was a mistake — granted if it wasn't, the person remains respectful of your decision and leaves it at that once they get an answer.
everyone can reblog this, but i figure this is especially good for those of us who use the (soft) blocking feature if we decide to unfollow someone instead of just unfollowing. this way, we can be alerted if tumblr has unfollowed a friend of ours without us noticing, as well as the other mutual not having to have anxiety about you suddenly hating them or worrying that you'll get upset for them asking if it was a mistake or not.
this, of course, does not mean that you are okay with people pushing to continue conversations with you if you say you unfollowed them. let's all be adults here.

The Protect ICWA Campaign was established by the National Indian Child Welfare Association, the National Congress of American Indians, The Association on American Indian Affairs, and the Native American Rights Fund. The forced assimilation of Native people in the U.S. is nothing new and it has always targeted children. That's why over 40 years ago, the Indian Child Welfare Act was put into place. The number one goal of the ICWA was to curb the generational harm caused by Native children being separated from their families and tribal communities.
What many people may not understand is that Native children being separated from their families is a modern issue, impacting far too many Native children to this day. And come November 9, the law working to protect these children from being forcibly removed from their homes and families will be challenged in front of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Click on the link to this petition. Help stop forced assimilation and the theft of Native Children.
Your silence makes you complicit in Native genocide.

Don't use your muse(s) to vent your out-of-character frustrations or give yourself an ego boost.
I've seen this happen many times over my 10+ years of role-playing on this site. I've met a lot of muns that tend to use their muses as a means of airing out their grievances, or making themselves feel/seem important.
Example #1: I once met someone who would speak through their muse whenever someone on the dash (a writing partner or just a mutual) angered or frustrated them. They wouldn't directly call the target out, but to those in the know, it was clear who they were talking about.
Example #2: I knew someone that I would plot a thread out in advance with, we both agreed that was how it was going to play out so both of us would be happy, and then when it came down to writing the thread, their muse unexpectedly vilified mine in order to make them seem like they were "special" or "more important" or "the good guy."
This is incredibly frustrating and off-putting. Writing is supposed to be fun for everyone involved. It's not meant to make any one person seem or feel more important than anyone else.
If you're doing either of these things, rest assured that you are the only one having fun.
